Mr. Lou Schuler takes aim at the popular misconception (that is advertised by certain fitness groups) that their certain brand of exercises will develop only long, lean muscles and have you looking taller and thinner. This is like thinking that eating certain foods will make my hair curlier/bouncier/etc.
In his book “The New Rules of Lifting for Women”, he slams this misconception. Your muscles will grow/develop according to your genetic makeup and basic rules of biology. If you want that super abs. 6- pack definition like so and so, then you should have his parents.
This is another good reason for having an experienced Coach and not following one of those cookie cutter workout schedules. Your body will improve according to your genetics, nutrition and skill level. So trying to look like so and so on the latest exercise DVD is not the best idea.
Remember, train smarter.
